Connectivity and Platform Support
A working plant is never one brand, one protocol, or one generation of equipment. The legacy scale, the ten-year-old chiller, the new packaging machine and the PLC you bought last month all have to land on one network and one set of screens, without ripping out what already works.
One network, one set of screens: a PROFINET backbone carrying the PLC, distributed I/O and IO-Link smart sensors, with Modbus gateways bringing third-party machines along instead of replacing them.
The connective tissue
CTX Automation builds and maintains that connective tissue. PROFINET as the plant-floor backbone. IO-Link for smart sensors with parameter data, not just a signal. Modbus RTU and TCP for the equipment that speaks it, with protocol gateways bridging anything that does not natively fit. Third-party machines join the network instead of being replaced by it.
Siemens standard, fluent everywhere
Our control architectures standardize on Siemens: S7-1200 and S7-1500 PLCs, integrated weighing, HMI and WinCC including Unified, SINAMICS drives, distributed I/O, process instrumentation, and BRAUMAT and SISTAR batch control. Around that core we design in and support the component ecosystem plants actually run: sensor lines, encoders, pneumatic and servo controls, protocol converters, managed Ethernet switches, and secure remote-access hardware for support.
Rockwell systems
Plenty of good plants run Allen-Bradley. We support Rockwell systems in-house for troubleshooting, changes and additions, and when a customer decides to standardize, we perform Rockwell-to-Siemens conversions: logic, I/O and HMI screens, migrated deliberately with the existing system as the specification. Until that day, a Rockwell panel is a system we service.
No black boxes
Everything we build rides on standard, commercially available platforms with documentation the customer owns: electrical drawings, P&IDs, panel drawings, program backups and operator manuals. Any qualified integrator could take over one of our systems, which is exactly why customers are comfortable letting us build them.
CTX Automation is a certified Siemens Solution Partner for Industry. Partner status means our engineers are trained and certified on the Siemens automation platform we standardize on, and that Siemens stands behind the systems we deliver on it.
